Veteran “Funkmeister” and P-FUNK founder GEORGE CLINTON has hit hard times. In an effort to save his recording studio and help fund the battle for the right to own the songs he’s penned, CLINTON has set up a fundraising campaign.
He’s embarked on a $50,000 campaign on the leading crowd-funding site www.indiegogo.com where he offers supporters a personally autographed CD for contributions as low as $35. He also has a video posted on his site with the tagline, “Help preserve THE MOTHERSHIP and prolong its journey.”
