Six Named To Receive Broadcasters Foundation Of America's 2012 Quaal Awards

The BROADCASTERS FOUNDATION OF AMERICA has announced this year's recipients of the WARD L. QUAAL Leadership Awards (formerly the Pioneer Awards), to be presented at the FOUNDATION’s annual breakfast on APRIL 18 at the WYNN resort hotel/casino during the NAB SHOW in LAS VEGAS.
This year's honorees are retired METROMEDIA RADIO President CARL BRAZELL; COBB CORP. Pres. BRIAN COBB; former NIELSEN Chairman JOHN DIMLING; former INTEREP Chairman RALPH GUILD; retired BELO CORP. Vice Chairman/Media Operations JACK SANDER; and ALPHA BROADCASTING founder and former CITADEL Chairman/CEO LARRY WILSON. Also being honored posthumously will be former FOUNDATION Chairman JIM DELMONICO with the Chairman’s Award.
The QUAAL Awards are underwritten bu the HUBBARD BROADCASTING FOUNDATION, and the breakfast is being sponsored by the NAB, TVB, ARBITRON, NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MEDIA BROKERS, and FRANK N. MAGID ASSOCIATES.
