The FCC has fined GABRIEL A. GARCIA $25,000 for operating unlicensed FM stations in SAN JOSE, CA. GARCIA never responded to the FCC's Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture in the case.
In addition, the Commission is proposing an $8,000 fine against HOOSIER PUBLIC RADIO CORP. for operating the antenna and transmitter of noncommercial WRFM/WILKINSON, IN from a farm silo in JACKSON TOWNSHIP rather than the location three miles away from which it was authorized to operate. HOOSIER produced a letter it said it had sent to the FCC notifying it of the temporary move but the Commission said it never issued an STA to allow the move.
