April Is Public Radio Music Month
March 29, 2012 at 12:04 PM (PT)
This APRIL, music-oriented public radio stations across the country -- many of which are Triple A -- will be celebrating the critical role that public radio and their supporters play in our music culture and industry. This PUBLIC RADIO MUSIC MONTH effort will strive to highlight the partnership between public radio and music.
Stations are partnering with artists and listeners to feature live concert broadcasts, exclusive interviews, in-studio performances and more. Further, artists and labels will record testimonials and write op-eds to celebrate this first-ever nationwide event.
All this and more will be featured on PUBLIC RADIO MUSIC MONTH’s exclusive Tumblr blog and Twitter account throughout the month. In addition, NPR’s Policy & Representation team is providing branding and promotional materials to participating stations, artists, and additional supporters. This includes a toolkit to support PUBLIC RADIO MUSIC MONTH activities market by market.
