ARBITRON has informed ALL ACCESS that they will be no longer designate embargoed markets when they release station ratings. Beginning APRIL 16th with the MARCH '12 PPM MONTHLY data, ARBITRON will release ratings in all markets for all the subscriber stations in all the measured markets.
Previously in the FALL '11 survey, ARBITRON withheld the 12+ ratings as client-exclusive markets for all the stations in more than 40 markets, including the following seven top-100 markets: FT. MYERS, FL; GRAND RAPIDS; SYRACUSE; BATON ROUGE; SPRINGFIELD, MA; TOLEDO; and DES MOINES.
The big change will be in the PPM markets where non-subscriber 6+ data will no longer be released. ALL ACCESS has learned that when the MILWAUKEE MARCH '12 PPM MONTHLY ratings are released on APRIL 19th, the following five SAGA stations will not be included: Rock WHQG, Urban AC WJMC, Religious WJYI-A, Classic Rock WKLH, and Classic Country WZBK.
An ARBITRON spokeswoman told ALL ACCESS, "We are protecting our intellectual property by no longer providing non-subscriber data."
The previously unreleased ratings data will be live on ARBITRON's TOPLINE site by APRIL 16th for all subscribing stations.
