TUNEIN and CBS RADIO have entered into a strategic licensing partnership that allows the more than 30 million monthly active TUNEIN listeners access to CBS RADIO programming. The non-exclusive deal makes content from in excess of 40 CBS RADIO news, talk, and sports stations from across the country, including stations in all Top 10 markets, available on the TUNEIN service.
"We have always believed in the value of great local content, and this agreement validates the demand we know exists for our original programming while at the same time creates a new revenue source for the company," said CBS LOCAL DIGITAL MEDIA Pres. EZRA KUCHARZ. "By forging relationships with premiere distribution services such as TuneIn, CBS RADIO will significantly grow its audiences by exposing our content to new listeners."
"We at TUNEIN are thrilled to announce a long-term, strategic partnership with a company so innovative and important to the world of radio as CBS," said TUNEIN CEO JOHN DONHAM. "By adding these CBS RADIO stations to our free service, we continue to make good on our promise to bring the best radio programming to TUNEIN listeners from wherever they are."
