The price for the deal announced YESTERDAY (NET NEWS 4/11) in which DOUBLE O RADIO CORP. is selling Country WAKT (103.5 HANK FM), Adult Hits WASJ (BOB FM 105.1), Top 40/Rhythmic WPFM-F (HOT 107.9), and Classic Rock WRBA (ARROW 95.9)/PANAMA CITY, FL to POWELL BROADCASTING COMPANY is $950,000, according to the paperwork filed with the FCC. The buyer owns six stations in IOWA.
In other filings with the FCC, SUNRIVER BROADCASTING CORP. d/b/a FIELDS POND GROUP is selling Top 40 KXIX (POWER 94)/SUNRIVER-BEND, OR to GROSS COMMUNICATIONS CORP./GCC BEND, LLC for $833,000 plus $15,000 of "bartered assets in the BEND, OREGON area." The buyer has held an option to buy the station since 2006 and has been programming the station under a time brokerage agreement.
SALEM COMMUNICATIONS' SALEM MEDIA OF VIRGINIA, INC. has closed on the purchase of Talk WKDL-A/WARRENTON, VA (a simulcast of Talk WTNT-A/ALEXANDRIA-WASHINGTON) from METRO RADIO, INC. for $10,000.
And HERITAGE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL has closed on the transfer of low-power FM KQRZ-LP/HILLSBORO, OR to VALLEY CATHOLIC RADIO FOUNDATION, INC. for $1,000. The seller ceased operation of its school, necessitating transfer of the station.
