White House Asks Supreme Court To Consider FCC Appeal Of Court Ruling In Janet Jackson Incident

The OBAMA Administration has asked the Supreme Court to take on another indecency case, filing a brief requesting review of the FCC's appeal of a lower court's decision that the $550,000 fine levied against CBS and its affiliates in the JANET JACKSON SUPER BOWL "wardrobe malfunction" incident was improper.
The Supreme Court is presently considering two other indecency cases, the "fleeting expletives" BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS case and the "NYPD BLUE" nudity case.
The administration is seeking review of the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that the CBS fine was arbitrary and capricious because it was based on changes in definitions of indecency that were made after the JACKSON incident took place.
