GREG HAM, the keyboardist/sax player/flautist for Australian '80s pop band MEN AT WORK whose flute solo was featured in the group's hit "Down Under," was found dead at his MELBOURNE home TODAY (4/19). HAM, 58, was found after two friends checked on him after becoming concerned that they had not heard from him.
HAM's flute riff in "Down Under" became the focus of controversy when the publisher of the Australian standard "Kookaburra" sued and won a portion of the song's royalties over the similarity of the riff to the tune of the children's song.
