UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI sports will continue to air on BEASLEY Sports WQAM-A/MIAMI under a new five-year pact with LEARFIELD SPORTS' HURRICANE SPORTS PROPERTIES. WQAM has aired 'CANES football and men's basketball since 1999-2000 and will continue to do so, plus select baseball games, through the 2016-17 season.
"We are thrilled about the new agreement and long-term partnership between HSP and WQAM," said MIAMI Dir./Athletics SHAWN EICHORST. "Listening to WQAM for the MIAMI HURRICANES has become a game-day tradition in SOUTH FLORIDA and this relationship will bolster our brand and reach on the airwaves."
"UM sports have been a huge part of WQAM for over a decade and we're excited to continue that relationship," said BEASLEY MIAMI VP/Market Manager JOE BELL. "Our listeners have come to expect the best from WQAM and it doesn't get any better than HURRICANE sports."
HSP GM JIM MCIVER added, "We're pleased to lock up WQAM for another five years as the station has delivered quality broadcasts and programming for HURRICANE fans since 1999."
