10 Nassau Stations Go To NB Broadcasting LLC

Ten NASSAU BROADCASTING stations in NEW JERSEY and PENNSYLVANIA are being sold in bankruptcy to NB BROADCASTING LLC, headed by DOUGLAS A. PLUSS, for a credit bid (by NASSAU's lenders led by GOLDMAN SACHS) of $38.7 million plus $1,633,890 for administrative costs and assumption of liabilities.
In the LEHIGH VALLEY, the sold stations include Classic Hits WODE-F (99.9 THE HAWK)/EASTON, PA; Sports simulcast WEEX-A/EASTON, PA-WTKZ-A/ALLENTOWN, PA (ESPN 1230 AND 1320); Religion WBYN-A (THE LIGHT 1160)/LEHIGHTON, PA; and Active Rock WWYY (107 THE BONE)/BELVIDERE, NJ.
In the POCONOS, Talk WVPO-A and Hot AC WSBG/STROUDSBURG are being sold to NB.
in NEW JERSEY, the stations being transferred include Top 40 WPST and Religion WCHR-A/TRENTON, NJ and Spanish Sports WNJE-A (ESPN DEPORTES RADIO)/FLEMINGTON, NJ.
Sounds of Silence
In another filing with the FCC, CUMULUS' RADIO LICENSE HOLDING CBC, LLC has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WIBR-A/BATON ROUGE, which was destroyed in a tropical storm and the rebuilding of which CUMULUS says it has "discovered the situation is more complex than it first appeared."
GOSPEL ECHO INC. has applied for a Silent STA for KBNO-F/WHITE SALMON, WA due to electrical failure.
And WHFB BROADCAST ASSOCIATES LIMITED PARTNERSHIP has closed on the sale of Country WHFB-F (REAL COUNTRY 99.9)/BENTON HARBOR, MI-SOUTH BEND, IN to DOUGLAS ROAD RADIO, INC. for $20,000.
