Official: Tony Kornheiser Inks New 2-Year Deal With ESPN 980/D.C.

RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING Sports WTEM-A (ESPN 980)/WASHINGTON makes it official and formally announces that midday host TONY KORNHEISER has inked a two-year contract to continue with the station through 2014. KORNHEISER previously disclosed that he had reached agreement with the station on the extension (NET NEWS 5/9); he will also contribute to the REDSKINS pre-game show.
KORNHEISER, the co-host of ESPN's "PARDON THE INTERRUPTION" and former WASHINGTON POST sportswriter and ESPN RADIO host, started his show on WTEM in 1992 and has been heard on the station for 18 of the show's 20 year history.
