POP RADIO has acquired certain assets of the INSTORE BROADCASTING NETWORK. The newly combined entity has been re-branded as THE INSTORE AUDIO NETWORK. This network (formerly the "old" POP RADIO and IBN) is the largest in-store audio advertising provider in the U.S. as it delivers advertising messages into over 33,000 grocery, drug, convenience and mass merchandiser stores. It also delivers in-store music to 14,000 of those stores.
THE INSTORE AUDIO NETWORK is based in SALT LAKE CITY, and is managed by Pres./CEO GARY SEEM and Chairman JEFF SHAPIRO. With this acquisition, the executive management team also now includes STEVE VILLA as a Senior Advisor to the company. VILLA was formerly the CEO/COO/CFO of MUZAK.
"We are excited by the combination of POP RADIO and IBN. The creation of this new audio messaging network delivers the largest audience of any audio product available to consumer packaged goods and health & beauty products advertisers. We can generate measurable sales lift by running audio commercials right in the store," said SHAPIRO. "Our network of stores now includes every major chain drug store in the U.S. and virtually every top grocery retailer -- all available with a one stop buy for our advertising partners. The company also offers custom music delivery to retail stores using THE INSTORE AUDIO NETWORK's cutting edge software and hardware technology platform."
