CLEAR CHANNEL CEO BOB PITTMAN "will join the board of AIRTIME, the soon-to-launch video start-up from NAPSTER co-founders SEAN PARKER and SHAWN FANNING," reports ALL THINGS DIGITAL.
PITTMAN told ATD, "SEAN and SHAWN have a unique ability to see opportunities in the consumer Internet and create services that fundamentally change our culture. They have a clear and exciting vision for AIRTIME and have assembled a world-class team that can deliver. I am excited to be involved."
Describing PITTMAN, PARKER told ATD, "He's the only media mogul who's genuinely an entrepreneur."
PARKER was part of the FACEBOOK launch, and was famously portrayed by JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE in "The Social Network." He is scheduled to give a live presentation with FANNING to launch AIRTIME, described as a "social video site," at MILK STUDIOS in NEW YORK TOMORROW (6/5).
