Country Artists Help Raise Thousands Of Dollars For Nashville Charities

Country artists made some big moves this past week in their charity efforts. DARIUS RUCKER's “DARIUS and Friends Golf Tournament” kicked off the 2012 CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL, raising $121,000 for ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL with the help of RODNEY ATKINS, SUNNY SWEENEY, CHUCK WICKS, THE JANEDEAR GIRLS’ SUSIE BROWN, ZAC BROWN BAND, CLAY COOK, and LADY ANTEBELLUM’S CHARLES KELLEY.
The CITY OF HOPE “Celebrity Softball Challenge” raised an estimated $272,000, and ended with a 15-15 tie between the GRAND OLE OPRY and AFTER MIDNITE WITH BLAIR GARNER teams.
COLT FORD headlined the COUNTRY WEEKLY “Kick- Off Party” helping to raise $10,000 for MUSICIANS ON CALL.
