June RADAR Network Ratings Hold Fairly Steady

ARBITRON reported that its JUNE 2012 RADAR Radio Network Ratings found that over 185 million Persons 12+, or approximately 71% of the demo, heard one or more network radio commercials in an average week of the survey period. Breaking it down into specific demos, the data found that listenership declined slightly in 12+, 18+ and 35+ since last MARCH (NET NEWS 3/21), but ticked up slightly in the 18-49 and 25-54 demos.
The RADAR JUNE 2012 survey period demonstrates network radio’s power in reaching a mass audience in all demographics. Commercials aired on the 46 radio networks measure reached:
70.5% of Persons aged 12+/185,021,000 Persons (MARCH - 185,160,000 Persons)
71.1% of Persons aged 18+/168,157,000 Persons (MARCH - 168,415,000 Persons)
70.4% of Persons aged 35+/115,431,000 Persons (MARCH - 116,505,000 Persons)
73.8% of Persons aged 18-49/99,219,000 Persons (MARCH - 99,185,000 Persons)
74.4% of Persons aged 25-54/93,970,000 Persons (MARCH - 93,816,000 Persons)
