June 27, 2012 at 12:03 PM (PT)
CBS RADIO Classic Hits WODS/BOSTON will pull the plug on the oldies at noon TOMORROW (6/28), and flip to Top 40 as 103.3 AMP RADIO.
"When looking at the habits of BOSTON radio listeners, it is clear the music most favored by the biggest group of people is contemporary hit music," said SVP/Market Mgr. MARK HANNON. "BOSTON's New 103.3 AMP RADIO will serve the audience with all of the hits from artists topping the charts, and create a number of ways for listeners to interact with the station -- from live events to special appearances and contests."
The launch of BOSTON's New 103.3 AMP RADIO will be led by a team of programmers including BOSTON VP/Programming MIKE THOMAS, along with VP/Top 40 Programming MICHAEL MARTIN. A full- time PD for the station, as well as the lineup of live and local talent, will be named at a later date.
The Classic Hits format will be moved to an HD-2 channel, and will remain available on www.wods.com.
