Border Media Sells Austin Pair, Beasley Buys Ft. Myers-Naples Translators

BORDER MEDIA PARTNERS' BMP AUSTIN LICENSE COMPANY, L.P. is selling Spanish Sports KXXS (ESPN DEPORTES AUSTIN)/ELGIN-AUSTIN, TX to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $750,000 plus an additional $250,000 contingent on an upgrade of the station into the AUSTIN antenna farm with city of license SUNSET VALLEY. BMP is also selling Sports KZNX-A (ESPN AUSTIN, simulcast with KTXX-F)/CREEDMOOR-AUSTIN to AMERICA TELECOMMUNICATIONS GROUP, INC. for $600,000. And BMP's BORDER MEDIA BUSINESS TRUST is also buying K288FJ/BASTROP, TX from JAMES S. BUMPOUS d/b/a BIG BEND BROADCASTING for $250,000.
In other filings with the FCC, REACH COMMUNICATIONS, INC. is selling FM translators W251AL/FORT MYERS, W286AK/NAPLES, and W268AH/BONITA SPRINGS, FL to BEASLEY BROADCAST GROUP's WRXK LICENSE LP for $150,000. The buyer plans to rebroadcast the HD-2 channel of Talk WRXK (96 K-ROCK, ROCK THAT TALKS)/FORT MYERS, which presently airs a simulcast of Sports WWCN-A (770 ESPN)/FORT MYERS.
The previously-reported deal by which NRG MEDIA is selling Talk KHUB-A and Classic Rock KFMT (FM GOLD 105.5)/FREMONT, NE and Country KBLR/BLAIR, NE to DEAN SORENSON's COMMUNITY FIRST MEDIA OF NEBRASKA, LLC has now been filed at the FCC, and the paperwork discloses that the price for the trio is $900,000 plus an amount equal to amounts receivable.
HAMPTONS COMMUNITY RADIO CORPORATION has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for WEER/MONTAUK, NY.
BUCKLEY BROADCASTING has closed on the sale of Classic Rock KIOO/VISALIA-FRESNO, CA to MOMENTUM BROADCASTING, LP for $450,000.
JACK W. MILLER's WTAB, INC. has closed on the sale of Country-Full Service WTAB-A/TABOR CITY, NC to MARTY and JUDY SELLERS' WTAB MEDIA, INC. for $10,000.
And in a deal not yet filed with the FCC, CAPITAL BROADCASTING, owner of Talk KLO-A/OGDEN-SALT LAKE CITY, is buying Adult Hits KJQN (103.1 JACK FM)/COALVILLE, UT from SLC DIVESTITURE TRUST, the spinoff trust for SIMMONS stations being divested after the latter company's acquisition of the MILLCREEK BROADCASTING/3 POINT MEDIA stations, for an undisclosed price, according to the SALT LAKE TRIBUNE. KLO will be simulcast on KJQN beginning JULY 16th.
