NEW BEGINNING WORLD OUTREACH INC. has filed for a Silent STA for WNBV/GRUNDY, VA due to repairs needed after a lightning storm on SUNDAY (7/1) damaged the transmitter.
In other filings with the FCC, WRIG, INC. is asking for a Silent STA for FM translator W229AP/ROTSHCHILD, WI after losing its transmitter site (which was not included in the station's sale to the present licensee).
COCHISE BROADCASTING LLC has requested an extension of its Silent STA for KZXQ/LAKE OF THE WOODS, AZ while it changes its transmitter site.
RADIOACTIVE, LLC has asked the FCC for an extension of its Silent STA for WRAX/LAKE ISABELLA, MI while it "continues to work towards refining and implementing a business plan to ensure the financial viability of the station and resumption of operations."
RADIO POWER INC. wants an extension of its Silent STA for FM translator W284BQ/DETROIT, the translator that briefly simulcast a Smooth Jazz format as 104.7 THE OASIS with the HD-2 channel of INTERNATIONAL FREE AND ACCEPTED MODERN MASONS Urban AC WGPR/DETROIT and was forced off the air for interfering with CLEAR CHANNEL Rock WIOT/TOLEDO.
IHR EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING has closed on the purchase of Religion KHOT-A/MADERA, CA from REDWOOD FAMILY SERVICES, INC. for $10.
And receiver SCOTT SAVAGE has closed on the sale of former TAMA BROADCASTING station WFJO/JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FL to ANTHONY MARINATOS and KEN PURCELL's RIVER CITY BROADCASTING, LLC for $1.95 million. The buyer, through sister SEVEN BRIDGES RADIO, LLC, flipped the station from Gospel to Sports as a simulcast with its WJXL-A (1010 XL).
