NAB Asks For Stay Of Online Political File Rule For TV Stations
July 10, 2012 at 5:39 PM (PT)
The NAB has filed a motion with the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA asking for a stay of the FCC's new online political file requirements for TV stations.
The motion calls the FCC's rule "arbitrary and capricious ... disregarding the competitive harm" the rule could cause and posing irreparable harm to the stations, which will have to post ad prices while non-broadcast competitors do not. The NAB is asking for a stay pending completion of judicial review.
