19/ARISTA NASHVILLE artist CARRIE UNDERWOOD visited, along with GREATER MEDIA Country WKLB/BOSTON, visited the FLOATING HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN AT TUFTS MEDICAL CENTER in BOSTON.
UNDERWOOD visited children at the hospital yesterday (7/31), as part of the COUNTRY MUSIC HEALING TOUR, a partnership between WKLB and the FLOATING HOSPITAL. The special tour introduces young patients to top Country music artists
During her visit, UNDERWOOD spent time visiting with patients and families in the medical/surgical unit as well as the pediatric bone marrow transplant unit. She gave autographed CD’s to all the kids and sang an impromptu “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” for a requesting two-year old.
“We are so grateful to CARRIE for partnering with us to bring this one-of-a-kind experience to the children and families at FLOATING HOSPITAL," said WKLB PD MIKE BROPHEY. “This is a very special opportunity for us to participate in a small way in the healing process of the hospital’s pediatric patients, and the generosity of Country performers like CARRIE UNDERWOOD is what makes it possible."
