JENNIFER SMART FOUNDATION is selling Children's KALY-F (JENNIRADIO)/LOS RANCHOS DE ALBUQUERQUE, NM to KD RADIO, INC. for $225,000 plus an LMA before closing. The station is a former RADIO DISNEY operation currently operated by the foundation headed by now-15-year-old JENNIFER SMART, dubbed "AMERICA's youngest radio station owner."
In other filings with the FCC, NORTH FLORIDA BAPTIST CHURCH, INC. is selling FM translator W252BN/TALLAHASSEE to CHRISTIAN RADIO FELLOWSHIP, INC. for $1.
BRYAN BROADCASTING LICENSE CORP. has applied for a Silent STA for KKLB/KURTEN, TX while it builds new facilities as part of the station's move from previous community of license MADISONVILLE, TX.
SAN JUAN ISLAND COMMUNITY RADIO is transferring noncommercial KSJU/FRIDAY HARBOR, WA to the BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF SKAGIT VALLEY COLLEGE in exchange for the "equipment and expertise that have been provided by SKAGIT to SAN JUAN to help put new station KSJU on the air."
And RADIO ASSIST MINISTRY, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translator W272CP/SOPERTON, GA to RADIOJONES, LLC under a 2010 option agreement that involved a $3,000 option payment and a $1 sale price.
