KCYY Names Vanessa Macias Morning Co-Host

COX RADIO KCYY/SAN ANTONIO has tapped SAN ANTONIO native and local TV personality VANESSA MACIAS to join JEFF ROPER and the “JEFF ROPER AND THE Y MORNING SHOW.”

“When we were looking for a good complement for JEFF; we knew VANESSA had the personality and the inside track to all that is great about SAN ANTONIO,” said KCYY PD RANDY CHASE. “We’ve all seen what she can do on television; now just sit back and listen to how great this team is on the radio.”

“Radio has always been my first love, even though most people know me through TV,” said MACIAS. “I grew up on Country music here in TEXAS, so finally getting the chance to do Country music radio is a natural fit. I’ve been waiting for this day to come for so long!”

MACIAS is a graduate of the UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS and a former personality on KENS-TV 5/SAN ANTONIO. She replaces former co-host LAURIE PEARSON, now doing middays at sister AC KSMG/SAN ANTONIO.
