NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO's new comedy game show "ASK ME ANOTHER" is returning as a regular weekly show, now co-produced by NEW YORK PUBLIC RADIO News-Talk WNYC-A-F/NEW YORK. The show, hosted by OPHIRA EISENBERG with music from JONATHAN COULTON, aired on 150 public radio stations in MAY in a 13-show pilot season (NET NEWS 5/2) and will return on WNYC-F on SEPTEMBER 15th for SATURDAYS at 3p (ET), with new episodes taping in BROOKLYN in NOVEMBER and DECEMBER, to air nationwide starting in JANUARY.
“In its first short run, ASK ME ANOTHER hooked a whole audience who, like me, couldn’t get enough,” said NPR President and CEO GARY E. KNELL. “For a show with firm roots in NEW YORK CITY, there’s no better production partner than WNYC – we’re thrilled to share the excitement around ASK ME ANOTHER with them.”
“ASK ME ANOTHER has many of the qualities – humor, energy, smarts – that WNYC embodies everyday, so it made sense for us to partner with NPR on this fresh offering in public radio,” said NYPR President and CEO LAURA WALKER. “We look forward to collaborating with NPR on this and other exciting new programs that will attract new audiences to public radio.”
