CRTC Approves New Ontario FM

The CRTC has granted JON POLE and ANDREW DICKSON's MY BROADCASTING CORPORATION's application for a new FM station in ALLISTON, ON. THe new station will air a gold-based AC format at 92.1 FM with 3,750 watts maximum ERP at 30.5 meters above average terrain.
The agency also approved the CBC's application to add a new low-power FM transmitter at WHITEHORSE, YUKON TERRITORY to rebroadcast CBC RADIO ONE affiliate CFWH/WHITEHORSE. The new transmitter, with 50 watts at 173.4 meters on 95.3 FM, will help resolve reception problems due to mountainous terrain along the ALASKA and KLONDIKE Highways since the station transitioned to the FM band.
BONNE BAY COTTAGE HOSPITAL HERITAGE CORP. has been granted a new low-power FM transmitter at ROCKY HARBOUR, NL to rebroadcast its CHBB (VOBB- THE VOICE OF BONNE BAY)/NORRIS POINT, NL. The new facility will operate at 98.1 FM with 50 watts at -31.2 meters.
And ROGERS BROADCASTING LTD. has won approval to boost the power of Adult Hits CHST (102.3 BOB FM)/LONDON, ON from 12,100 to 100,000 watts maximum ERP and reclassify from Class B1 to Class C1.
