CAPITOL NASHVILLE artist KEITH URBAN will not be returning the 2nd season of AUSTRALIA’s “The Voice” next year. URBAN had a similar role to that of WARNER BROS/ WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist BLAKE SHELTON on the AMERICAN version of the show.
“As much as I'd love to do it again, it's clear that the recording and promoting of a new album, a tour and other commitments will keep me from being a part of the second season,” URBAN told AUSTRALIA’s CHANNEL NINE.
While on that show, URBAN solidified his abilities to coach, mentor and judge a televised singing competition. FOX NETWORK’s AMERICAN IDOL is now rumored to have KEITH in their judges chair for next season, with a rumored $4 million contract.
