Yamaha Launches Its Own Record Label

Major instrument manufacturer YAMAHA CORP OF AMERICA is jumping into the music business with the launch of its own record label YAMAHA ENTERTAINMENT GROUP. Its label launch party was held last THURSDAY, SEPT 13th at the WHISKEY A GO-GO in WEST HOLLYWOOD.
British Rockers LEOGUN, the label's first signing, rocked the house for 50 minutes, including their debut single "Let's Be Friends" which is impacting Rock Radio on OCT. 16th.
The YAMAHA ENTERTAINMENT GROUP came about through YAMAHA's longtime association with ELTON JOHN, who plays a signature YAMAHA piano. LEOGUN has been part of JOHN's management company ROCKET ENTERTAINMENT GROUP.
Promotion for LEOGUN and YAMAHA ENTERTAINMENT GROUP will be handled by INDEPENDENT LABEL GROUP (ILG) with distribution coming from ALTERNATIVE DISTRIBUTION ALLIANCE (ADA).
