RADIOMD, an Internet all-health talk portal, is launching a news product for terrestrial radio: RADIOMD NEWS "healthcasts." The daily two-minute audio "healthcasts" typically contain three to four breaking health and medical news stories produced by RADIOMD’s experienced producers and reported by on-air news anchor, JIM MILLER.
"These are not health tips or the usual medical minute features," RADIOMD founder TIM DISA said. "It’s a first of its kind, completely produced newscast containing only the breaking health stories of the day and we think this is information the public wants."
The Healthcasts are a ‘freebie’ to stations; no inventory or barter is required There is a pause and outcue given after the first story to allow local affiliates to drop in a spot, as an option – or the healthcasts may air “as is.”
The weekday audio healthcasts are delivered via XDS satellite each weekday morning at 9a ET and available on an ftp site for download.
