The FCC has dismissed a Petition for Reconsideration filed by HAYDEN CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION against the grant of a new low power FM station to LAKE CITY LIGHTHOUSE, INC. at LAKE CITY, ID.
HAYDEN, an applicant for a mutually-exclusive LPFM at HAYDEN, ID and objected to the grant of a station at LAKE CITY, which it said was not a bona fide community. The Commission said in its later rejection of an attempt to amend the LAKE CITY application to specify COEUR D'ALENE as the community of license that LAKE CITY was, indeed, a licensable community.
HAYDEN also alleged in its appeal that the winning applicant "lost its proposed transmitter site, has undergone a complete change in its governing board, and failed to notify the Commission of these developments," all of which the Commission said should have been raised at an earlier time and none of which, it said, would prevent the grant.
