MICHAEL MAHONE's CONVERGENT BROADCASTING CORPUS CHRISTI, LP is selling three CORPUS CHRISTI stations -- Top 40 KKPN (PLANET 102.3)/ROCKPORT, TX, Classic Hits KAJE (107.3 JAKE FM)/INGLESIDE, TX, and Classic Rock KPUS (CLASSIC ROCK 104.5)/GREGORY, TX -- to DANIEL J. DUMAN's CONVERGENT BROADCASTING II LLC for $2.3 million.
In other filings with the FCC, LARRY WILSON's L&L BROADCASTING LLC is donating Classic Rock WKQY (EAGLE 100.1) and Talk WTZE-A/TAZEWELL, VA to CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. L&L is acquiring the stations from TRIAD BROADCASTING COMPANY, LLC's MONTEREY LICENSES, LLC as part of a $21 million deal (NET NEWS 12/3) and is spinning the TAZEWELL pair off in a donation.
JAMES S. BUMPOUS d/b/a BIG BEND BROADCASTING is requesting an extension of the Silent STA for FM translator K288FJ/AUSTIN, TX while it awaits approval of its sale to GENUINE AUSTIN RADIO, LP and "preserve(s) operating funds." BUMPOUS is selling the translator for $250,000; it will rebroadcast REO RADIO GROUP Religion KLGO-A/AUSTIN.
And SYCAMORE VALLEY BROADCASTING INC. has applied for a Silent STA for WQSV-A/ASHLAND CITY, TN because "(t)he station is not able to meet financial obligations and is in the process of obtaining new financing."
