The FCC has fined WHISLER FLEURINOR $25,000 for operating an unlicensed station at 99.5 FM in FORT LAUDERDALE.
The fine follows multiple citations for running the station since 2008. He previously paid a $500 fine (reduced for inability to pay) in 2011. After the FCC noted that the station was back on the air after the fine, FLEURINOR responded that "there [has] been no radio transmission of any kind for at least six months, [and that] there is no radio equipment at this location."
In addition, HACIENDA SAN ELADIO, INC. has been fined $4,500 for failure to
notify the Commission upon a change in ownership information for a tower in JUNCOS, PR. HACIENDA owns Spanish Religion WRRE-A (SONIDO SANTIDAD)/JUNCOS.
And the Commission affirmed an $11,000 fine against ACE OF HEARTS DISC JOCKEY SERVICE, INC. for operating FM translator W277AN/CAPE CANAVERAL, FL with unauthorized antenna equipment and with more than authorized power.
