Todd Schnitt Moves For New Trial In Bubba Case

TODD SCHNITT's attorneys have filed a motion for a new trial in his case against TAMPA radio rival BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE, reports the TAMPA BAY TIMES.

SCHNITT, now a COMPASS MEDIA NETWORKS talk host and a former morning host (as MJ KELLI) at CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WFLZ/TAMPA, lost his defamation case against BUBBA on JANUARY 30th, but is filing a motion for a new trial on the grounds that the widely-reported DUI incident involving SCHNITT's attorney PHIL CAMPBELL, which ended up with CAMPBELL's trial briefcase in the hands of BUBBA's law firm ADAMS & DIACO.  A paralegal for the latter firm was with CAMPBELL at the time of his arrest and an attorney for that firm tipped police about CAMPBELL's intoxication.

The incident is being investigated by the FLORIDA bar.
