As ALL ACCESS first reported YESTERDAY (NET NEWS 2/17), the industry and fans of troubled Country singer MINDY McCREADY are mourning her loss, as she committed suicide at the age of 37.
Officials are reporting the cause of death to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the time of investigation when her body was found at her house in HEBER SPRINGS, AR.
McCREADY has had a troubled life. She just spent a few days in rehab on FEBRUARY 7th, but transferred to home care on FEBRUARY 10th, minus her two sons, ZANDER and ZAYNE.
They were removed from her home following allegations from her father, TIM McCREADY, that she wasn't caring for them.
McCREADY's boyfriend and record producer DAVID WILSON shot himself on JANUARY 13th, and it's reported that McCREADY was drinking heavily and using prescription drugs since his suicide, leading to her recent downward spiral and her suicide.
Since her launch to singing fame in 1996, recording for BNA and then her final album for CAPITOL RECORDS, McCREADY had a number of high-profile love affairs: actor DEAN CAIN, NHL hockey player DRAKE BEREHOWSKY and BILLY MCKNIGHT, who was arrested for beating and choking her.
This was not McCREADY's first suicide attempt; she tried in 2005 and 2008.
