The FCC has fined LAZER LICENSES $8,000 for public file violations at Regional Mexican KSSB/CALIPATRIA, CA. Agents found required issues and programs lists were missing for all quarters of 2007, the second, third, and fourth quarters of 2008, the first quarter of 2009, and the first quarter of 2010. On a subsequent inspection, the lists remained missing but lists were sent electronically from LAZER's corporate offices and placed in the file.
The Commission also fined NORTH COUNTY BROADCASTING CORP. $4,800 for EAS violations at Business News KFSD-A/ESCONDIDO, CA. The station's EAS equipment was working for co-located former sister IMMACULATE HEART RADIO Religion KCEO-A/VISTA, CA but could not issue a required weekly test for KFSD. The fine was reduced from $6,000 for the station's history of compliance.
And the Commission granted GRENAX BROADCASTING II, LLC's counterproposal to assign a new Class C2 FM allocation to MUNDS PARK, AZ over a proposal that would have upgraded UNIVISION Regional Mexican KHOV (LA NUEVA 105.9 AND 105.3)/WICKENBURG, AZ.
