Kassof: Radio's Greatest Threat -- Internet In Cars
March 6, 2013 at 2:32 PM (PT)
New revelations are coming from the study on radio management sentiment conducted by MARK KASSOF & CO. After reporting that radio owners and management are more bullish on the industry's future than previously thought (NET NEWS, 3/4), the study also found that, those same people consider Internet access in cars to be the biggest competitive threat to traditional radio.
Forty-one percent name in-car Internet access as "a big threat" to the future viability of traditional radio (more than double that of PANDORA, which as the runner-up threat at 18%), with 42% considering in-car Internet to be "a small threat."
