Call Letter Violations Draw Notices From FCC

Missing call letters, in two different ways, drew notices of violation from the FCC last week.
CLEAR CHANNEL (AMFM BROADCASTING LICENSES, LLC) Hot AC KBIG (MY 104.3 FM)/LOS ANGELES was cited for an improper on-air legal ID, failing to offer the requisite call letters and community of license on JANUARY 23rd. The FCC monitored the station pursuant to a complaint.
And PENSACOLA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE was cited for lacking a sign with the call sign and name, address, and telephone number of the licensee at the transmitter site of FM translator W205BH/PORT HURON, MI.
The notices do not necessarily mean that the licensees will be fined, but provide notice that the Enforcement Bureau is considering Notices of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture.
