SHOWDOG-UNIVERSAL MUSIC artist TRACE ADKINS has returned to compete on this season of NBC-TV’s "ALL-STAR CELEBRITY APPRENTICE."
In the first episode which aired on SUNDAY, MARCH 3rd, ADKINS took on the role of Project Leader. In a team task to raise money by selling meatballs, ADKINS chose an unconventional approach and closed his diner to the public, only catering to large pre-invited donors. The strategy was successful, as TRACE won the task, and ultimately won $670,000 for his charity, THE AMERICAN RED CROSS. Last NIGHT’s (3/10) episode featured ADKINS presenting a check to the organization.
On JUNE 4th, 2011, TRACE ADKINS home was destroyed by a fire (NET NEWS 6/6/11). While no one was injured, all of the ADKINS family possessions were consumed, including countless music awards. THE RED CROSS was among the first on the scene to help his family. To promote the organization, TRACE has since lent his time to the cause, becoming a RED CROSS spokesperson for the 2012 "HOLIDAY GIVING CAMPAIGN" and supported a "HOLIDAY MAIL FOR HEROES" program that benefits active military members, veterans and their families.
