March 15, 2013 at 12:36 PM (PT)
The CRTC has approved MZ MEDIA's application to use 102.9 FM for its new Classical CFMO/COLLINGWOOD, ON. The move, necessitated by the grant of the station's permit contingent on finding a frequency other than 104.9 FM, also requires GEORGINA ISLAND FIRST NATIONS COMMUNICATIONS to move its Type B community station CFGI/GEORGINA ISLAND, ON from 102.7 FM to 92.3 FM.
CFMO will operate with 23,000 watts ERP at 255 meters above average terrain. CFGI will increase to 650 watts at 24 meters.
