FCC Issues Notices of Violation To Several Stations

The FCC has issued a notice of violation to SAGA BROADCASTING Sports KPUG-A/BELLINGHAM, WA for alleged antenna input power violations. A MARCH 4th inspection found the station at a daytime input power at 85% of the station’s authorized power, below the 90-105% requirement.
Also receiving a violation notice was ALPHA BROADCASTING for missing legal IDs at Country KUPL/PORTLAND. An agent said that the IDs were missing on two occasions on FEBRUARY 20th and 21st.
DISCUSSION RADIO, INC. got a notice of violation for antenna enclosure violations at Talk daytimer WDIS-A/NORFOLK, MA.
A notice of violation was served on LONG AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH for missing program logs at low power FM WDBW-LP/PORT ST. JOE, FL.
And CUMULUS and DICKEY BROADCASTING's ATLANTA cluster was served a notice of violation for monitoring only one EAS source rather than the required two.
Notices of violation are not fine assessments and offer the licensee an opportunity to respond before a Notice of Apparent Violation may be issued.
