The state of HAWAII's Office of Hawaiian Affairs will not, it appears, be buying CBS affiliate KGMB-TV/HONOLULU and its satellites from EMMIS.
The OHA on THURSDAY voted against pursuing the purchase of EMMIS' last remaining TV station by allocating $50,000. to perform due diligence, but trustee ROWENA AKANA says she will raise the issue again with the Budget Committee at the end of the month. EMMIS sold its other HAWAII property, FOX affiliate KHON-TV (FOX 2) and its satellites, to MONTECITO BROADCASTING earlier this year.
