'Future Hits' To Relaunch On Westwood One Radio Networks
April 1, 2013 at 5:49 AM (PT)
ALL ACCESS President & Publisher JOEL DENVER has announced that he's relaunching his very popular weekly one-hour syndicated "FUTURE HITS" show on its original syndicator, the WESTWOOD ONE RADIO NETWORKS, and its first affiliate PIRATE RADIO/LOS ANGELES.
DENVER remarked, "We had a terrific run from 1984 through 1995, playing an hour of brand new music that will surely fit in nicely with today's PPM strategies, especially in markets 50+. We'll cut custom liners and offer the show in variety of formats beyond Top 40/Mainstream, including Top 40/Rhythmic, Hot AC, EDM, and that new emerging format, Punk Rock/Salsa."
(Former) WESTWOOD ONE Chairman NORM PATTIZ, and current COURTSIDE ENTERTAINMENT Managing Partner, who personally signed the show to its original deal with the network, commented to ALL ACCESS, "Huh? Really? OK! Whatever makes money!"
Because of the sudden announcement, DENVER didn't have time to put together a current demo, he's referring interested stations to this 1988 WEGX/PHILADELPHIA YOUTUBE recap.
