LOS ANGELES-based independent record label NEW WEST RECORDS, and L.A. and WASHINGTON D.C.-based SUMERIAN RECORDS have inked new deals with ALTERNATIVE DISTRIBUTION ALLIANCE (ADA), the independent music distribution arm of WARNER MUSIC GROUP.
NEW WEST Pres./CEO GEORGE FONTAINE said, "ADA is well-regarded throughout the music industry for its ability to deliver above-and-beyond results for independent labels. We take pride in the immense talent of our roster and look forward to providing them further opportunities to expand their offerings through this partnership with ADA."
"NEW WEST RECORDS is one of the revered independent record labels out there," added WEA/ADA SVP/Independent Distribution and Strategic Development ARI TAITZ. "It’s a dynamic label with an unwavering long-term commitment to nurturing legendary artists and discovering the best new talent in indie rock, country and folk music. NEW WEST is home to one of the most enviable rosters in all of music, and we look forward to working with them to develop their success even further."
ADA Pres. DAVID ORLEANS said, "SUMERIAN RECORDS’ unique approach to artist development has made the label a major force in the hard rock and metal scene. We look forward to a deep and lasting partnership with ASH and his talented team, as SUMERIAN continues to grow by signing incredible new bands and nurturing the long-term careers of established names."
SUMERIAN Founder ASH AVILDSEN said, "ADA's level of passion and determination to work with us far exceeded all their competitors, which was shown by the resources and strategy they offered us as well as the deep absinthe shots they took on empty stomachs at our request when we first sat down for dinner. SUMERIAN is incredibly excited about our future with ADA. They have the coolest name out of all the distributors so, obviously, this is going to work out perfectly."
