ELEVEN SEVEN MUSIC rockers DROWNING POOL are releasing their fifth studio album "Resilience" today and also announcing their continued partnership with USO to play a series of military bases for the U.S. troops after their EUROPEAN tour concludes.
DROWNING POOL guitarist C.J. PIERCE said, "Our USO shows and all military shows for that matter have been one of the most humbling experiences this band has ever had. Playing for our troops by far have been greatest and most memorable shows we've ever played. One comment in particular that we hear a lot from our troops was the fact that bringing our show over to their base, where ever that may be, gave them the feeling that everyone back home still cared about them. They also mentioned how being at our show kinda gave them a feeling of being back home for a minute."
"For us as entertainers there's no better reward then putting a rock show for our troops and giving them that mental break they need from such an intense environment and giving them that taste of home. We look forward to future shows for our armed forces. Our troops will always have continual support from us. Always in our hearts, and always in our minds."
DROWNING POOL's partnership with USO has been a long-standing one with past performances for the U.S. troops in KUWAIT, IRAQ and GERMANY. In total, the band has put on 16 USO shows and delivered their musical talents to more than 20,000 service men and women.
In addition to their USO tours, the band has performed for troops serving in KOREA and GUANTANAMO BAY among other countries. They also had the opportunity to present the LANE EVANS MENTAL HEALTH CARE REFORM to then-senator BARACK OBAMA on Capitol Hill and partnering with organizations like THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT and the G.I. FILM FESTIVAL.
