What would be the first thing you wanted if you woke up after being in a coma for five years? To see a loved one? Favorite food? Read ALL ACCESS? "I want to go to a BOB SEGER concert," were the first words out of EVIE BRANAN's mouth after suddenly awakening from a five-year semi-coma," writes MLIVE.COM. "Why would I say that?" BRANAN said. "Maybe my last thoughts were BOB SEGER before I had my stroke."
The paper reports that for the past two years, BRANAN has been eagerly waiting for that SEGER concert after she came out of her semi-coma on MAY 7th, 2011. That time came last night -- along with an invitation for an after-party for SEGER's concert at THE PALACE in AUBURN HILLS.
MICHELLE CROSS, an administrator at WILLOWBROOK MANOR, where BRANAN resides, bought the tickets for the 79-year-old.
ANNE TENBUSCH, an executive assistant for PUNCH ENTERPRISES -- SEGER's management company -- then stepped in to make the night special, and arrange backstage access. "(Her story) was definitely nothing I had heard before," TENBRUSCH told MLIVE. "I always want to try to help out with stories like that because BOB loves his fans. It’s such a cool story I just wanted to help out in any way I could."
"I'm so excited I can hardly breathe," BRANAN said. "What am I looking forward to the most? Hugging BOB SEGER and giving him a big smooch."
