April 25, 2013 at 6:57 AM (PT)
Although details are widely scattered at this point, MERCURY NASHVILLE artist BILLY CURRINGTON has been indicted for making "terroristic threats," and abuse to an elderly person by a GEORGIA Grand Jury.
The charges accuse CURRINGTON of threatening CHARLES HARVEY FERRELLE in TYBEE ISLAND, GA, on APRIL 15th. The "elderly abuse" charge is included because the man is older than 65.
While there’s been no official response from UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP about the incident, CURRINGTON TWEETED the following: "Hey guys, I wanted to thank everyone for the huge amount of support that I have received already. Unfortunately, I can't comment on this situation as this is an ongoing legal matter. It means a lot to me to have your support during this time."
