As reported in the ALL ACCESS Sales Round-Up, MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS Country KVOX (FROGGY 99)/FARGO and RADIO-FARGO MOORHEAD Country KBVB (BOB 95.1)/FARGO are trading owners. The two Country stations in the market will now be owned by their competitors company, effective this SUMMER.
MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS purchased a 6-station cluster owned by INGSTAD in APRIL that included BOB 95.1. The following day, INGSTAD then purchased a 6-station cluster from TRIAD BROADCASTING that included FROGGY 99, and renamed the group to RADIO-FARGO MOORHEAD.
In a joint statement, INGSTAD said, "This swap makes both station groups stronger and will provide a basis for a highly competitive vibrant local market." MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS owner DUKE WRIGHT added, "We look forward to fierce competition and great local radio in FARGO."
