WEDNESDAY’s (6/5) “2013 CMT MUSIC AWARDS” ranked as the #1 most social television show of the day, with more than 3.4 million viewers tuning in for the live telecast and encore. CMT quotes these figures according to SOCIAL GUIDE, which identifies and analyzes conversation on TWITTER in real time for every program aired across 236 U.S. Television channels.
Among women 18-49, the show increased 3% over last year, with the pre-show live red carpet showing double digit gains from 2012. Streaming of the show increased 101% from a year ago and CMT mobile use was up 118%.
CMT says live voting for the evening’s most coveted prize, “Video of the Year,” tripled from last year, while TWITTER traffic nearly doubled from 2012 figures.
