Update: Randy Travis Survives Surgery, Condition Still Listed As Critical

GRAMMY winning artist RANDY TRAVIS made it through emergency surgery last night (NET NEWS 7/10) to relieve pressure on his brain following a stroke, but is still listed in critical condition.
That stroke was a complication of his congestive heart failure, which is result of "complications of a recently acquired viral cardiomyopathy."
Doctors at THE HEART HOSPITAL AT BAYLOR in PLANO, TX report that TRAVIS' condition remains critical as is has been since he was hospitalized this past weekend (NET NEWS, 7/8), however TRAVIS, who is 54, had been showing signs of improvement just before the stroke.
