ENTERCOM/SACRAMENTO has eliminated Station Mgr. CURTISS JOHNSON’s position.
VP/Market Manager SEAN SHANNON wrote in a memo to staff, "I regret to announce that as part of re-engineering our Programming department, CURTISS JOHNSON’s Station Manager position will be eliminated. KSEG APD BRAIN LOPEZ will now program both KCTC and KSEG. CURTISS will be assisting with the transition through this FRIDAY, JULY 19th."
JOHNSON has been with ENTERCOM since 1995. "It was an incredibly successful 18 years in SACRAMENTO as brand manager for KRXQ, KWOD and KSEG professionally," said JOHNSON. "But the part I will cherish and miss the most is the people I worked with. So many will be friends for life. ENTERCOM/SACRAMENTO is a special place with a chemistry in the building that few places in the radio industry can match."
JOHNSON is a 35-year radio veteran, who previously programmed Active Rock KUPD and Alternative KUKQ/PHOENIX before joining ENTERCOM/SACRAMENTO. You can reach JOHNSON at firstname.lastname@example.org.
