The INTERNATIONAL RADIO FESTIVAL (IRF) named BRODY RAMONE as the winner of the 2013 "Best U.S./CANADA College DJ competition." A DJ on non-com WBGU, the college station of BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY in OHIO, BRODY will present her show at the 4th Annual IRF, taking place Sept 4th-8th at the SCHLOSS SILHBERG in ZURICH.
"The IRF thanks all the U.S. and Canadian college radio stations and its DJs for their participation in our second contest," IRF Co-Founder DARRYL VON DANIKEN said. "We are encouraged that the next generation of radio makers shows such a diversity of talent and dedication to music radio. BRODY RAMONE’s 'Dirty Glitter' is a great example of the fresh music shows that the IRF likes to showcase."
"Congratulations to BRODY RAMONE for winning the IRF Best College DJ," iBIQUITY SVP JOSEPH D'ANGELO said. "iBIQUITY is proud of our partnership with the IRF, highlighting outstanding DJs from U.S. and Canadian Universities. Thanks to BRODY, WBGU will be receiving a free license to use HD RADIO technology (normally $10,000) from iBIQUITY, and have the opportunity upgrade their broadcast equipment and join the over 2,200 radio stations in the USA that have upgraded to HD RADIO technology. WBGU's audiences benefit from BRODY RAMONE’s tremendous talents, and now they will also enjoy all the benefits of HD RADIO digital broadcasting.""
